NO PURCHASE, CONTRIBUTION OR CONSIDERATION OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO
ENTER OR WIN IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. PURCHASE, CONTRIBUTION OR OTHER
CONSIDERATION DOES NOT IMPROVE ONE'S CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. ELIGIBILITY: FREE TRIP TO TOKYO, JAPAN ONLINE SWEEPSTAKES (the ”Sweepstakes”) is
open to legal residents of the United States, age 21 or older, who enroll online at the link on the Altour
Japan web page, e.g., http://www.altourjapan.com/freejapantrip Employees and Board members of a Sponsoring entity (see ¶8
below), their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and production agencies, (“Sweepstakes Entities”) and
their immediate families are not eligible to enter or win. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations
apply. Void where prohibited by law.
2. TO ENTER: The sole way a participant may enter is online. First go to the link on the Altour Japan
web page, e.g., http://www.altourjapan.com/freejapantrip Follow all onscreen instructions to enter your name, address and
contact information (“Online Entry”). Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on
1/1/2017 and all Online Entries must be received at 11:59:59 PM Pacific Time (PT) on 1/31/2018. Limit
one (1) Online Entry per person. Entrants may not share e-mail addresses. Each Online Entry will be
deemed to have been submitted by the record holder of the e-mail account from which the entry originated.
Use of automated devices not valid.
3. SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: Winners will be determined from all eligible
entries received in a random drawing to be conducted on or about 2/15/2018 at 12:00 PM Pacific Time
(PT) by Mr. Toshi Iwama of Altour Japan LP, whose decision is final and binding on all matters relating to
this Sweepstakes. Winners need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by email by 1/31/2018. If any
prize/prize notification is returned as undeliverable, that entrant will forfeit the prize and the prize will be
awarded to an alternate winner in a separate random drawing. Entry and acceptance of prize constitutes
permission to use winners' names, prizes won, hometowns, likenesses and statements and other personally
identifiable information for online posting and promotional, advertising and marketing purposes without
further compensation or notice, except where prohibited by law.
4. PRIZES AND ODDS: One prize will be awarded. It includes nonstop roundtrip airline tickets from Los
Angeles to Tokyo (LAX-NRT) for the winner and his/her guest, traveling together, plus two nights stay at
Capitol Tokyu Hotel (Deluxe room for 2 adults in one room), roundtrip transfer between the Narita Airport
and Capitol Tokyu Hotel by Japan Limousine Services, and translation services by FB Trans (24 hour
translation services over SNS or telephone). Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") of the prize: $10,000,
being $5,000 per person. Total "ARV" of all prizes: $10,000. Odds of winning depend upon the number of
electronic eligible entries received. Limit one prize per person/household. All prizes are guaranteed to be
awarded assuming sufficient amount of eligible entries are received. Prize winner may select his/her
preferred dates of travel, to be confirmed by Sponsor subject to space available by service providers.
Sponsor reserves right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. No other substitution or transfer of
prizes permitted. Taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winner. Sponsor may be required to receive and
withhold the amount of applicable taxes from the prize winner before he/she receives the prize (trip).
5. GENERAL: By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules, the decisions of the Judge and the
Sponsors which will be final and binding, and on behalf of their respective heirs, executors, administrators,
legal representatives, successors and assigns, (“Releasing Parties”), release, defend and hold harmless the
Sweepstakes Entities, as well as the employees, officers, directors and agents of each (collectively, the
“Released Parties”), from any and all actions, causes of action, suits, debts, expenses, lost profits, indirect
or direct damages, consequential, incidental, punitive or exemplary damages, judgments, claims and
demands whatsoever, against any and all Released Parties which arise out of or result from entrant’s
participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance and use or misuse of any prize. In the event Sponsor is
prevented from continuing with the Sweepstakes as contemplated herein by any event beyond its control,
including but not limited to fire, flood, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, equipment
failure, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war or any federal, state, or local government
law, order, or regulation, or order of any court or other cause not within Sponsor’s control or concerns
regarding the safety of any winner, Sponsor reserves the right to: permanently disqualify from the
Sweepstakes any person it believes has violated these Official Rules; and modify or terminate the
Sweepstakes if it becomes technically corrupted (including if a computer virus or system malfunction
impairs its ability to conduct the Sweepstakes), or to select winners from among all eligible entries received
prior to termination. Entrants assume all liability for any injury, including death or damage caused or
claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or use or redemption of any prize. This
Sweepstakes will be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflicts of laws
provisions. Any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes,
will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Any action or litigation concerning
this Sweepstakes shall take place exclusively in the federal or state courts sitting in Los Angeles,
California, and each Entrant expressly consents to the jurisdiction of and venue in such courts and waives
all defenses of lack of jurisdiction and inconvenient forum with respect to such courts. Each Entrant agrees
to service of process by mail or other method acceptable under the laws of the State of California. ANY
CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND/OR AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF- POCKET
COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ENTERING THIS PROMOTION. ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ANY
RIGHTS OR CLAIMS TO ATTORNEY’S FEES, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ENTRANT, WHETHER FORESEEABLE OR NOT AND
WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE. Sponsor is not responsible for any
typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the
announcement of any prize. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. Sponsor
is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged or illegible entries or the failure of any third party to
comply with the instructions and proper administration of this Sweepstakes.
6. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY
WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A
VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE,
SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO
THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
